Fabian Takacs

Dr. Fabian Takacs is a post-doctoral researcher and project manager at the Institute of Management and Strategy (IoMS-HSG). His research focuses mainly on sustainable transformation, circular economy, and business model innovation. At the IfB Competence Center for Circular Economy, Business Models & Sustainable Transformation, he is establishing the interdisciplinary and practice-oriented Circular Lab, a platform for developing circular and sustainable solutions in the Lake Constance region with a focus on SMEs. He is a co-developer of the Circular Navigator, a practice-oriented methodology for creating circular business models. He has already accompanied various companies and institutions on their way to more sustainability. At the Institute for Economy and the Environment (IWOe-HSG), he works with the Responsibility & Sustainability Team, led by Prof. Judith Walls, on implementing sustainability in the university curriculum. In 2020, with Prof. Karolin Frankenberger and Prof. Oliver Gassmann, he won the HSG Impact Award for impactful research with societal relevance. He has published scientific and practice-oriented articles in journals such as the Harvard Business Review, Journal of Cleaner Production or Resources, Conservation and Recycling.
