Thomaz Teodorovicz
Associate Professor of Strategic Management
Thomaz Teodorovicz ist Associate Professor für Strategisches Management an der Universität St.Gallen. In seiner Forschung untersucht er, wann und wie Führungskräfte privater und öffentlicher Organisationen überdurchschnittliche Leistungen erzielen und gleichzeitig Lösungen für drängende gesellschaftliche Herausforderungen entwickeln können. Vor seiner Berufung an die Universität St.Gallen war er Postdoktorand an der Harvard Business School und Inhaber des CBS Executive Fonden Assistant Pro-fessorship Chair an der Copenhagen Business School. Darüber hinaus hatte er Gastpositionen am INSEAD, an der SDA Bocconi, an der HEC Paris und am Geneva Research Lab for Digital Impact inne. Er erhielt seinen Ph.D. in Business Economics vom der Insper Institute of Education and Research.
Thomaz untersucht in seiner Forschung, wie organisationale Governance, strategische Entscheidungen und Humankapital sowohl die Leistungsfähigkeit von Organisationen als auch gesellschaftliche Ergebnisse beeinflussen. Seine Forschung umfasst öffentliche und private Organisationen, Staatsunternehmen, öffentliche Dienstleistungen, unterschiedliche Beschäftigungsformen und öffentlich-private Kooperationen. Zu seinen Forschungsthemen zählen unter anderem Leistungsvergleiche zwischen öffentlichen und privaten Organisationen, Investitionen in das Humankapital von Vertragsarbeitskräften sowie Anreizprogramme für die Standortwahl von Remote-Arbeitenden. Seine Forschung wurde in führenden internationalen Fachzeitschriften veröffentlicht, darunter das Strategic Management Journal, Organization Science und das Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal. Darüber hinaus hat er praxis- und politikorientierte Beiträge für die Inter-American Development Bank, die Brookings Institution und die Harvard Business Review verfasst.
Thomaz ist Mitglied der Editorial Review Boards des Strategic Management Journal und des Journal of Organization Design und übernimmt verschiedene Funktionen innerhalb der Academy of Management und der Strategic Management Society. Sein Engagement umfasst zudem politik- und praxisorientierte Forschungsprojekte, unter anderem mit der Inter-American Development Bank und der Brookings Institution. Für seine Forschung und sein Engagement in der akademischen Gemeinschaft wurde er mehrfach von der Strategic Management Society und der Academy of Management ausgezeichnet.
Thomaz verfügt über Lehrerfahrung im strategischen Management auf PhD-, MBA- und Master-Stufe sowie in der Executive Education. Inhaltlich umfasst seine Lehre strategisches Management und Innovation, strategisches Management im gesellschaftlichen Interesse sowie den Umgang mit der Zukunft der Arbeit. Er hat an der Copenhagen Business School, am INSEAD und an der Harvard Business School unterrichtet.
